Tamila shares how she advanced her cybersecurity skills by participating in Cyber FastTrack, and what it means to become a National Cyber Scholar.
How would you describe your experience of the Cyber FastTrack program?
It was an amazing experience. I am way more confident than before.
How did participating in Cyber FastTrack help you develop your cybersecurity skills?
First and foremost, Cyber FastTrack has exposed me to a wide range of cybersecurity concepts, techniques, and tools. Through interactive challenges, puzzles, and real-world scenarios, I have gained a deeper understanding of topics such as cryptography, network security, web security, digital forensics, and more. This hands-on approach has allowed me to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Moreover, the program has significantly enhanced my problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. The challenges presented in Cyber FastTrack require me to analyze complex problems, identify vulnerabilities, and devise effective solutions. This process has honed my ability to think logically, strategically, and creatively when faced with cybersecurity issues. Participating in Cyber FastTrack has also fostered a strong sense of curiosity and a continuous learning mindset within me.

How do you feel about becoming a National Cyber Scholar?
Becoming a Scholar fills me with a sense of pride and accomplishment. It serves as a reminder that my efforts have been recognized and rewarded, and it motivates me to continue pushing myself to reach even greater heights.
I feel excited about the prospects that being a Scholar brings. It opens doors to new learning experiences, expanded networks, and valuable resources that can further enhance my education and personal growth. I am eager to take advantage of these opportunities and make the most out of this privileged position.

Was there a specific person who encouraged you to get into cybersecurity?
The person who encouraged me to get into cybersecurity is my FATHER! I want to thank him and my mom, who has always supported me, prayed for me and told me to never give up.
